Baseball Recap: Rangely's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buena Vista, Rangely was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Rye Thunderbolts as they made off with a 12-6 victory. That looming 12-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Rangely let Braxton Shaffer and Braden Lucas run wild. Shaffer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Lucas got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Shaffer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marcos Quintana, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
