Basketball Recap: Addyson Moore Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mineral Wells's strategy against Marion on Saturday. The Mineral Wells Rams strolled past the Marion Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 51-32. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mineral Wells' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addyson Moore, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 19 points and three steals. Those 19 points gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Richardson, who posted 14 points.

Mineral Wells is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Marion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
