Baseball Recap: Walkertown Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Walkertown and McMichael, and McMichael kept the tradition alive. The Wolfpack fell 5-2 to the Phoenix on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in March.

Walkertown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Blodgett, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Walkertown's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-8. As for McMichael, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.

As of now, neither Walkertown nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
