Volleyball Game Preview: Chicopee Comp Colts vs. Southwick Regional Rams

The Chicopee Comp Colts will face off against the Southwick Regional Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Chicopee Comp beat East Longmeadow 3-1.

Chicopee Comp walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-12.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southwick Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Holyoke by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Southwick Regional had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-10, 25-16.

Chicopee Comp's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7. As for Southwick Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Everything went Chicopee Comp's way against Southwick Regional in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Chicopee Comp made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
