Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Takes a Loss

Covenant Christian lost against Legacy Christian Academy back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Covenant Christian Cougars took a 50-33 bruising from the Legacy Christian Academy Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1227th, while the Warriors are ranked 607th).

Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Covenant Christian Cougars challenge the Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will square off against St. Joseph Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Christian Academy is facing St. Joseph Catholic at the right time seeing as St. Joseph Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
