Soccer Game Preview: Round Rock vs. Stony Point

The Round Rock Dragons are taking a road trip to face off against the Stony Point Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Round Rock managed to keep up with Round Rock Westwood until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Round Rock lost 5-0 to Round Rock Westwood. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Warriors are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, Stony Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Round Rock Westwood, falling 5-2.

Stony Point's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-2. As for Round Rock, they are also on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8-2.

Round Rock was able to grind out a solid win over Stony Point when the teams last played back in February, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Round Rock since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
