            Bennington had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with  a   4-2  win over the Gretna East Griffins  on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  4-2  back in April.
Bennington hit Gretna East with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Austin Kaiser (2),  Kade Olbrich,  and  Max Leight.

The  victory was  the eighth in a row for Bennington, bringing their record up to 19-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 40  goals over those eight  matches. As for Gretna East,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.
 Bennington wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next  contest,  a  3-1  victory against Lexington on the 17th. Gretna East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
