Soccer Preview: Ridgewood Meets Hackensack

The Ridgewood Maroons will take on the Hackensack Comets at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hackensack is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Ridgewood's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fair Lawn 1-0.

Meanwhile, Hackensack entered their tilt with Teaneck on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll face Ridgewood with four. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Highwaymen. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Hackensack's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Teaneck are ranked 246th).

Ridgewood's win brought them up to 2-0-1. As for Hackensack, the victory improved their record to 4-1.
