Baseball Recap: French Camp Academy Has No Trouble Against Nanih Waiya

French Camp Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Nanih Waiya, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The French Camp Academy Panthers put the hurt on the Nanih Waiya Warriors with a sharp 15-8 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Logan Wright was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Wright was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Rylan Moore was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Eli Withers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

French Camp Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher in three consecutive contests.

French Camp Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. Nanih Waiya is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

French Camp Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Nanih Waiya: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
