Softball Game Preview: Coolidge Colts vs. Banneker Bulldogs

Coolidge is 0-4 against Banneker since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Coolidge has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Coolidge's offense. They came up short against School Without Walls last Thursday, falling 19-0. The Colts just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Banneker came up short against Roosevelt last Thursday and fell 14-11. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Banneker fell to 3-1-1. As for Coolidge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coolidge couldn't quite get it done against Banneker in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 12-7. Can the Colts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
