Basketball Recap: Putnam County Comes Up Short

Putnam County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Midland Timberwolves on the road by a 52-38 margin. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Panthers, who fell 46-43 when the teams last met back in January of 2023.

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 0-27. As for Midland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam County will take on Henry-Senachwine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midland, they will face off against Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
