Baseball Recap: Carver Birmingham Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jackson-Olin last Tuesday, Carver Birmingham came back down to earth. Carver Birmingham fell 11-7 to Ramsay on Thursday. Carver Birmingham hasn't had much luck with Ramsay recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Dejalin Woodside was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jonathan Scott was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Carver Birmingham's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Ramsay, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver Birmingham will welcome Cornerstone at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ramsay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Homewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
