Baseball Recap: South Adams Comes Up Short

South Adams made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Eastbrook, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Starfires fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. If the Starfires were looking for revenge after losing 14-6 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Derek McKean was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Sty Pyle also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

South Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Eastbrook, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

When South Adams and Eastbrook next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Starfires will challenge Northeastern and their three-game winning streak at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Eastbrook will try to stop University's three-game winning streak when they meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
