The Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves will head out to face off against the Palos Verdes Sea Kings at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Palos Verdes will be up against a hot Wiseburn- Da Vinci team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Wolves' way against Hawthorne on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Gabriella Silva made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Anali Jimenez was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Vanessa Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .524 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palos Verdes). Everything went their way against Mira Costa last Friday as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sea Kings.
Sophia Otera looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ellie Correa, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Adela Randazzo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Palos Verdes, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 11-6.
Palos Verdes' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wiseburn- Da Vinci has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .499. It's a different story for Palos Verdes, though, as they've only averaged .337. Will they be able to contain Wiseburn- Da Vinci's hitters?
Wiseburn- Da Vinci suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Palos Verdes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
