Basketball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

Midlothian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 85-65 to the Huguenot Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Falcons since January 29, 2020.

Trevion Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Huguenot, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Brown also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Huguenot is 2-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 6-10 otherwise. Kaemon Smith was another key player, putting up 18 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Huguenot, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Midlothian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Huguenot, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons face off against the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Huguenot is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season.
