Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson School Takes a Loss

Thomas Jefferson School played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 57-35 to the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders. The Titan's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Thomas Jefferson School saw an underclassman step up: freshman Luke Tung went 7 for 12 en route to 14 points.

Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ricardo Jones, who posted 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' points. Kaleb Hardy was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Thomas Jefferson School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Thomas Jefferson School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-43 loss against Mississippi Valley Christian on the 24th. Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis has also already played their next contest, a 51-25 victory against Logos on the 23rd.
