Rainier Beach and Franklin are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. Rainier Beach will head out to square off against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rainier Beach has given up an average of 21.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rainier Beach came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Chief Sealth, falling 23-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rainier Beach saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christine Paul, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Paul's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Franklin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 18-3 win. The Quakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 15 runs or more this season.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Rainier Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Rainier Beach suffered a grim 30-0 defeat to Franklin in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Rainier Beach avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
