Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday + How To Watch

Pittsfield came into Monday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mount Everett Regional Eagles on Monday. The Generals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Pittsfield not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mount Everett Regional between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.

Pittsfield can attribute much of their success to Kayla Crupi, who had seven aces and three assists. Those seven aces gave Crupi a new career-high.

Crupi wasn't the only good servers: Pittsfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 32 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

Pittsfield's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Mount Everett Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Looking ahead, Pittsfield will face off against Mount Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Everett Regional, they will take on John J. Duggan Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
