It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Riverview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Winchester Thurston 2-1. Riverview haven't had any issues with Winchester Thurston recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Riverview now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Winchester Thurston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Riverview and Winchester Thurston will both be playing Jeannette the next time they take the pitch. Winchester Thurston will head out to face the Jayhawks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th.
