Boasting back-to-back 26-0 seasons and a pair of South Dakota Class A state championships,
Dakota Valley (North Sioux City)
will head into the 2023-24 high school basketball season with the nation's longest active win streak at 53 in a row.
The Panthers top our list of the longest active boys basketball win streaks, which includes any team with an ongoing win streak of 20 or more games.
Dakota Valley's 53 straight wins (which include a win in the third-place tournament game in 2021) rank No. 3 in state history behind
Arlington
, which won 61 in a row from 1937 to 1939, and
Armour
, which won 64 in a row from 1978 to 1980.
John Marshall (Richmond, Va.)
, which is currently ranked No. 1 in the MaxPreps Top 25, also makes the list. The Justices have won 37 games in a row with a pair of state championships.
County Line (Branch, Ark.)
had the best single-season record in 2022-23 at 45-0. The 45 straight wins puts the Indians at No. 3 on the list behind
Richmond Heights (Ohio)
with 49.
