Softball Recap: Palm Springs Comes Up Short

Palm Springs fell victim to Shadow Hills and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Shadow Hills Knights, falling 25-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 last Tuesday.

Palm Springs dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Shadow Hills, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Springs will host Excelsior Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Palm Springs has given up an average of 17.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Shadow Hills, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Xavier Prep at 6:30 p.m. Shadow Hills will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
