Volleyball Game Preview: Butler Bulldogs vs. Grimsley Whirlies

The Butler Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Grimsley Whirlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Butler is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against West Cabarrus as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Butler's got stronger as the match went on, holding West Cabarrus to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Grimsley waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cowboys.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-11.

Butler better focus on containing Morgan Falk and Jasmine Clark as the pair were huge in Grimsley's win. Falk had 20 digs and one assist, while Clark had ten digs and four aces.

Butler's record now sits at 18-7. As for Grimsley, their record is now 26-8.

Butler suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Grimsley when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
