Softball Recap: North Johnston Comes Up Short

North Johnston fell victim to Cape Fear and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Cape Fear Colts.

North Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cape Fear, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Johnston will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spring Creek at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Cape Fear, they will welcome Purnell Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Purnell Swett is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
