Football Recap: St. John Bosco Braves vs. St. Louis Crusaders
St. John Bosco is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of St. Louis. The Braves blew past the Crusaders 49-20. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 29 points or more this season.
St. John Bosco found their leader in sophomore Koa Malau'ulu, who threw for 175 yards and four TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Malau'ulu. DJ Tubbs was another key player, picking up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown.
St. John Bosco didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Josh Holland and JaShaun Shaffer. Holland is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last three games he's played. St. John Bosco got some further help from Matthew Muasau: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.
