Basketball Recap: Heavener Takes a Loss

In Friday's Canine Competition, Heavener didn't have enough. They came up short against the Spiro Bulldogs on Friday, falling 40-17. The Wolves have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Heavener's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Spiro, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Heavener does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spiro, they will face off against Kiefer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Kiefer sitting on six straight victories and Spiro on three.
