The San Pedro Pirates will challenge the Verdugo Hills Dons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. San Pedro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

San Pedro is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Venice just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Gondoliers by a score of 5-4.

San Pedro got a good showing from Nicholas Tibor, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tibor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Verdugo Hills suffered their biggest loss since March 27, 2025 on Tuesday. They came up short against Trinity Classical Academy, falling 14-4.

Moises Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
