Despite the loss, Union Academy still got an impressive performance from Trevin Goodson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Goodson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan A Walker, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Even though they lost, Union Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 15th loss (out of 22 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Union Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for South Stanly, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.
