Concord Academy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Piedmont Community Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Concord Academy Eagles will host the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Concord Academy after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 7-1 to Wesleyan Christian Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Caisyn Berg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. Those hits were her first of the season.

At the plate, Concord Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Milee Amburn, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Zoe Williams also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Piedmont Community Charter was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against Highland Tech, falling 12-2. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Piedmont Community Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Concord Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Concord Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Piedmont Community Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Concord Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Piedmont Community Charter in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 7-5. Will Concord Academy repeat their success, or does Piedmont Community Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
