Soccer Recap: Powell County's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After flying high against Menifee County on Thursday, Powell County came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the South Laurel Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The loss was Powell County's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Powell County fell to 4-1-1. As for South Laurel, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powell County will challenge Jackson City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Laurel, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on North Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
