Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenwood). They blew past the Woodmont Wildcats 49-7 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Wildcats are ranked 83rd).

Tristan Lewis produced another solid performance throwing for 166 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 72 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Martavious Hamilton was another key player, rushing for 84 yards and one score on only ten carries.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Greenwood, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.8 points on average over those games. As for Woodmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
