Soccer Recap: Amsterdam Comes Up Short

Amsterdam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Schuylerville Horses. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Amsterdam of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Amsterdam's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Schuylerville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amsterdam will challenge Gloversville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Schuylerville, they will venture away from home to square off against Guilderland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
