Volleyball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lamar Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Victoria West Warriors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-17.

Payton Joyner paced Lamar Consolidated's offense, picking up five kills. Joyner got some help from Alexa Perez and her five assists.

Lamar Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Victoria West, they pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lamar Consolidated will take on rival Terry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Victoria West is set to square off against their familiar foe Fort Bend Kempner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
