TPLS Christian Academy was the 81-80 winner over Rise Academy when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The TPLS Christian Academy Lions fell just short of the Rise Academy Guardians by a score of 80-78 on Thursday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Nathaniel Seaborn, who posted 30 points for Rise Academy. Devonte Atkins was another key player, putting up 19 points and five rebounds.

TPLS Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Rise Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

TPLS Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-54 loss against Steward on the 13th. As for Rise Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dinwiddie at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th.
