Baseball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 17-6 to the Streator Bulldogs.

Newark saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Toby Steffen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Steffen hit this season.

Newark's record now sits at 1-7. As for Streator, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Newark had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
