Softball Recap: Thurston Colts vs. Churchill Lancers

Thurston can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They blew past the Churchill Lancers 14-6. The victory was familiar territory for Thurston who now have nine in a row.

Daphanie Heckel and Emily Spain did most of the damage at the plate: Heckel went 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Spain went 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and a double. Spain continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Dow, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Thurston is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. As for Churchill, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
