Leroy Greene Academy came tearing into Monday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Esparto Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Leroy Greene Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-6.

Alyssa Calderon was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 16 assists and two aces. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups.

Calderon wasn't the only good servers: Leroy Greene Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive matches.

Leroy Greene Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Esparto, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.
