Football Recap: Belpre Takes a Loss

Belpre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Southern Tornadoes 41-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 55-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Belpre's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Southern, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Belpre will face off against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern, they will square off against Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tornadoes will be up against the Lancers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
