The Green Valley Gators will challenge the Liberty Patriots at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Green Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Green Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Palo Verde, who was ranked second at the time (Green Valley was ranked 13th). The Gators lost 11-1 to the Panthers on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Liberty not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26th (when they won 13-3). Everything went their way against Bishop Alemany as they made off with a 13-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Liberty got a massive performance out of Jaydrien Klein-Baker, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Klein-Baker has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rashaan Chavis, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Liberty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Green Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
