Basketball Game Preview: Covington Buccs vs. Lehman Catholic Cavaliers

Covington hasn't had much luck against Lehman Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Covington Buccs will head out to square off against the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m.

Covington is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Milton-Union. One positive for the Buccs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Lehman Catholic put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Riverside 53-35. That looming 53-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cavaliers yet this season.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lehman Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Covington couldn't quite finish off Lehman Catholic in their previous matchup back in February and fell 40-38. Can Covington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
