After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mosley, Marianna was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Bay Tornadoes 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Tornadoes back in March, they had to take a 10-7 loss.

Marianna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beau Swearingen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double. Bryce Mitchell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Marianna now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Bay, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8.

Coming up, Marianna will face off against Leon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Bay, they will take on South Walton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight.
