Baseball Game Preview: Menlo School Knights vs. Westmont Warriors

The Menlo School Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Westmont Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Saturday, Menlo School came up short against Aptos and fell 6-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kc Chavinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Liam Widner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Westmont made easy work of Homestead on Tuesday and carried off a 9-3 win.

Brayden Casillas was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. Another player making a difference was Peyton Hines, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Westmont's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4-1. As for Menlo School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Menlo School skirted past Westmont 5-3 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Menlo School since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
