Soccer Recap: Tarboro Takes a Loss

Tarboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greene Central Rams. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Tarboro couldn't quite close it out.

Tarboro's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Greene Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-10-1.

Looking ahead, Tarboro will square off against Farmville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greene Central, they will face off against Jones Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Greene Central will be up against Jones Senior's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.09 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
