Basketball Game Preview: Crivitz Wolverines vs. Coleman Cougars

The Crivitz Wolverines will face off against the Coleman Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Crivitz will be strutting in after a victory while Coleman will be coming in after a loss.

Crivitz took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wausaukee 64-23. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Rangers are ranked 456th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Coleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Lena 72-42.

Crivitz has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points over those games. Coleman's loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Crivitz beat Coleman 40-31 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crivitz since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
