Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calhoun Academy). They never let the Thomas Sumter Academy Generals get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Cullen Sightler and Chase Strickland made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Sightler struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Strickland pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sightler has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Sightler scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Strickland went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Crews Felder, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Cael Parler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Calhoun Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Calhoun Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
