Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Comes Up Short

Mesquite came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Waxahachie Indians, falling 3-0. The Skeeters haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Mesquite may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Waxahachie, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mesquite will take on rival Duncanville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waxahachie is set to challenge their familiar foe Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
