Volleyball Recap: Starmount Starts Season with Win Against Surry Central + How To Watch

Starmount gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Surry Central Golden Eagles 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Starmount had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-12.

Surry Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Starmount will be playing at home against Forbush at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Surry Central, they will head out on the road to take on North Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
