Softball Recap: Georgetown Find Success

Georgetown posted their closest victory since February 28th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the East Central Hornets 3-1.

Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for East Central and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Georgetown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 win against Hendrickson on the 14th. As for East Central, they have also already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against Lehman on the 13th.
