Paradise's Jonathon Dixon recorded the longest rushing play in Eastern this season in his game against Grant last week. Dixon's team lost to the Pacers as he sprinted for 56 yards on the play and finished with 102 in all.
Shasta moved up to 346 from 420 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wolves climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Anderson 36-7.
Dixon provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Paradise fell to Grant. Dixon's key target this week was Matt Machado, who caught 2 passes for 18 yards.
Machado was the best receiver in the league this week as Rick Prinz's team lost to Mike Alberghini's team.
Dixon was the most successful running back in Eastern this week. Teammate Kenny Bengson added to the ground attack by rushing for 57 yards.
Shasta took down the Cubs 36-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
