Softball Recap: Tompkins' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Tompkins unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 14-11 to the Memorial Mustangs. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Tompkins' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Memorial, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tompkins will square off against Katy Taylor at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Northbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
