Basketball Recap: Pensacola Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jones Christian Academy last Friday, Pensacola Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors fell to the Central Christian Saints 45-40. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Central Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marissa Lagarrigue led the charge by going 5 for 11 en route to 12 points along with seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayes Turner, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Pensacola Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for Central Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Pensacola Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Christian will face off against Aletheia Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
